Month in Review - July

And just like that, the summer is almost over! The boys head back to school in a couple of weeks, and we will start adjusting to a more structured schedule again. The big projects I wanted to get done are all finally wrapped up, the messes and piles of tools and supplies are all picked up, and I finally feel like I can relax a bit.

Here is my wrap-up for the month of July, just in case missed something.

I started the month off explaining why we were already doing another update to our master bathroom, it was definitely out of necessity this time! I'm sharing the new makeover reveal later this week, so be sure to come back!!

Then I joined 14 blogger friends for a Thrift Store Throwdown! We all gave a sneak peek of the items we received and were challenged to repurpose.

After spending some time in the basement (it's so much cooler down there on the 110 degree days we were having), I decided that the wall decor was in need of an upgrade. I broke out some paint and a stencil and made some some mixed metallics art to liven the place up a bit!

Then it was reveal day for the Thrift Store Throwdown! I turned a little stool and silver tray into a beautiful little white and gold accent table.

And then the laundry room finally received it's much needed makeover! Surprise, surprise, I went with a grey and navy color scheme; but I added a ton of personality with a fun stencil that makes this room one of my favorites.

Well, that wraps up July! Now, on to finishing up those summer projects and getting the kids (and the house) ready for back to school!
