Trash to Treasure Rustic Blanket Ladder

Hi there! I have been working on making it look more like fall in our home now that the calendar says September. It still feels a little like August outside, but I'm not going to let that stop me! Also, the fact that it's still in the 80's outside, doesn't mean that I'm not wrapped in a cozy blanket inside. (Honestly though, it can be 100 degrees outside, if I am in the house, I probably have a blanket nearby.)

Speaking of my cozy blankets...I am now the proud owner of one of those awesome blanket ladders that are everywhere right now! Yea!! Now I can have my blankets on display and keep them within reach on those cool fall evenings.

This ladder is proof that one person's trash is another person's treasure. It's also proof that I have awesome friends who know me all too well!

Step ladder into a blanket ladder at One Mile Home Style

This poor old rickety step ladder had seen better days, but it was too good to just toss. It was covered in paint splatters and was beat-up, but that is the kind of character you just can't buy in a store. I'll take this over brand new anyday!

I wiped it down to remove the loose dirt and spider webs, and then attached the legs together. All I did to attach the legs together was screw a scrap piece of wood into each leg on both sides at the top and the bottom. Since this is a step ladder, this keeps it from wanting to open, and allows it to lean perfectly against the wall.
