Thrift Store Throwdown: White and Gold Accent Table
Are you ready?!
Welcome to the Thrift Store Throwdown! Grab a chair and cold drink, you are about to go on a trash to treasure journey that is sure to leave you inspired, and looking for your car keys so you can hit up the closest thrift store.
Back a couple of weeks ago, I shared with you the details of this throwdown and thrift store items that Suzanne from Shop at Blu sent to me. I in turn sent items to Courtney from All Things New Again to get creative with.
Here are the details on my Thrift Store Throwdown white and gold accent table. This is what I started with, a heavy silver tray and a little silver stool:
The first thing I did, was take the seat part off of the stool, and give both pieces a couple of coats of gloss white spray paint.
I went with the obvious idea of turning these two items into a new little accent table, so I need to attach the tray to the table legs. I didn't want to put any holes in the tray to I used silicone adhesive so attach them together (ideally, I would have used my E6000, but the tube was empty and I had to improvise)
Now, for the finishing touches. I wanted to really bring out the beautiful details in the handles of my table, so I added a little Antique Gold Rub 'n Buff, and it did the job perfectly!
It did such a perfect job, that I had to add it to the top of the table and the legs too! It helped bring out some the detailing on the top and just made it prettier too! But then, the legs were looking a little plain, so I gave them a little paint-dipped look, that really finished off the entire thing.
It's such a fun little table, and the white and gold are a classic combination that just look beautiful together. I can see this little accent table moving all over our home, and it would even be a cute little addition out on the deck when we are entertaining.

I love this! The table is lovely and the gold-dipped feet are just perfect. Great idea! (P.S.--Thanks again for the great items you sent me. I had no idea what to do with that Rooster Thingie, but it turned out to be my favorite thing. :) ) ~Courtney
