Thrift Store Decor: Ceramic Bird Edition

So, did you see my fantastic find from the thrift store a couple of weeks ago? Our thrift stores are very hit or miss in the home decor area, so when I saw these ceramic pheasant figurines, I couldn't grab them fast enough.

Pre-makeover, they were not hideous, but they were definitely dated, and I knew I could make them better, and make them fit with the decor in our home better too. After giving them a little scrub it was time to break out the spray paint!

At this point, you should not be at all surprised that I choose my new favorite gold spray paint. I love that it's bright and shiny, but it's more of an almost satin finish, not mirror-like. I really debated just spray painting them gloss white, but it just felt too predictable, I wanted just a little bit a fun and gold was definitely the way to go!

I think it makes them feel more fancy, and who doesn't like to feel fancy once in awhile? Seriously though, I am having a total gold moment right now. I think it looks great with the grey walls and I love the mix of gold with more rustic/farmhouse accents, and it looks absolutely fabulous with our navy coffee table, and I just think it's fun!

I'm pretty sure nothing is safe from the gold spray paint at this point!! Tell me in the comments, is there a color that you just can't get enough of right now?
