Fall Decor Around the House
Welcome! I gave you all a quick glance at part of my fall decorating a couple of weeks ago. I thought I would continue on and show you the rest of the fall decorations that are sprinkled throughout our home. Although I kept my "mantle" decor neutral with a hint of blue, I used a bit more of the traditional reds and yellows in other areas.
I added a stem of autumn leaves to the vase of wheat on the side table for bright little bit of fall color.
My tree painting I made a couple of years ago is perfectly at home with the other fall decorations.
I had to go ahead a put a couple of the Halloween decorations up too. This is one of two of our cheesecloth ghosts that the boys made with grandma a while back. I love that they are something that the boys made, and also they add a subtle touch of Halloween to the fall decorations.
On to my second "mantle" area, the piano. For this space I used a more traditional fall color scheme, but kept the organization of it pretty simple. My parents planted a pumpkins and gourds this year so we collected a small bounty to use around our home this year.
Ghost number two makes his appearance here on the piano.
I am in love with these vintage thermoses. I'm pretty sure they are going to be out with the winter/Christmas decorations too. The red is a perfect touch and they remind me of having a nice hot cup of tea on cool fall mornings.
To balance all the red on the other side of the piano, I grabbed a couple of my green flower pots, stacked them on top of each other and filled them with gourds. The green makes this arrangement more fresh looking than fall.
Last, but not least, is this great little wire basket on the dining room table that is overflowing with gourds and mini pumpkins. (If you follow me on Instagram you saw that I finally went and spent my birthday giftcard to Michaels, this basket was one of my finds, yeah I know, I really needed another basket!)
Did you get all of your fall decorations up yet? I'm happy that it is finally starting to feel like fall around here, all the more reason to get the decorations out.
