Farmhouse Style Fall Home Tour 2017
Hello friends!! Welcome to my Fall Home Tour! I tend to use the term "home tour" pretty loosely, it's just a look at a couple of rooms in our home, and most of the pictures are close-ups of the styled areas. I don't seasonally decorate every room in our home, and the day the lighting was good enough for pictures, the house was not really picked up. So, not a lot of whole room views going on around here, you're welcome! So let's think of this as more of simple accents that add a fall farmhouse touch to your home, that are quick and easy.
Let's get started with some of my favorite views around our home this fall! First, I am absolutely in love with the new door color, and the addition of a simple fall floral wreath and a few pumpkins create a charming, and not overwhelming, entrance to our home.
After avoiding the traditional oranges and reds of the season the last couple of years, I decided to embrace all the warm colors this year, and guys, I. am. loving. it! This is telling me that I need to work on adding a little more color to my blue, grey and white home, ASAP!
Sunflowers are always a good idea this time of year, honestly, living in the Sunflower State means that Sunflowers are a good idea anytime of year! Just sticking a few stems in an old jar makes a simple display, and adds an easy farmhouse feel.
This is my favorite little bit of fall right here. I had this bamboo three-tier tray tucked away in storage, and found it again recently, and it makes a perfect little centerpiece to display mini pumpkins. I added in a few white vases to balance the color, and I just love how simple and perfectly fall it is!
Since our coffee table is always in use, and more often than not is covered in books and magazines, I tend to keep the coffee table styling to a minimum. I added a few DIY bandana pumpkins to my magazine basket and called it good for my tabletop decor.
The piano is always a fun spot to decorate, and let's be honest, it gets decorated more than it gets played. I added one of my vintage printer's trays as a focus point, and then added little touches of fall color all around it.
Pumpkins, and feathers, and a cute little printable from my Max & Dot Co. etsy shop adorn one side of the piano.
And the other side has a copper bowl filled with colorful marbles, some faux red hydrangeas in a vintage crock, along with one of my very favorite fall photos of the boys.
The reclaimed barnwood shelves are fun to decorate for every season, although I don't change them up a lot. It's more adding little seasonal touches to what is already there, and making the entire space feel warm and welcoming. And having a blanket ladder full of cozy blankets is not only a cozy farmhouse touch, it's functional this time of year too!
This one is such an easy way to add a simple fall touch, with almost zero effort. Grab a small stack of books, tie a little bit of twine around them, and top with a pumpkin. Done!
Last, but definitely not least, is a wire basket filled with mini pumpkins and gourds. Again, super simple, but just adds that perfect fall accent to a side table. Decorating for fall doesn't get any easier than that!
Thank you for stopping by my home, and taking a look around. I truly hope you enjoyed it, and took home a little inspiration for adding some fall farmhouse touches to your home this year.
