Month In Review - October

Happy Halloween friends! I hope you all have a fantastic evening of trick-or-treating, or handing out goodies! November officially marks the countdown to the holiday season, and the mile-long to-do list that comes along with it! There's also lots of football, the upcoming college basketball season and cooler weather that encourages me to snuggle up under the cozy blankets.

I have a lot of fun stuff coming up for you in November, but before we get started on that, let's get a quick run-down for the month of October.

I began my Halloween decorating by making this super fun, and creepy, skeleton hands wreath.

Then I decided my plain faux pumpkins needed a little pick-me-up. So, the pumpkins got a metallic makeover, and I shared my trick for spray painting when it's windy outside.

I put together a collection of fun Halloween decor that I found on Amazon.

Then I took a little time to get real about all those projects you see on blogs and on Pinterest, and I explained why we do renovations in phases at our house.

Why renovating is phases is a must!! Real talk about project budget, timelines and DIYs

This year I was so excited to be apart of the sixth Swap It Like It's Hot blog hop. I created this fantastic DIY boho wall hanging from thrifted lamp shades, that I absolutely love!!

One of the other items from Swap It Like It's Hot was a little pink floral lantern, I gave it coat of navy and metallic silver paint to turn it into a cute little rustic lantern instead.

Just in case you are like me, and have a supply of old books collecting dust, I shared how I gave a few old books a new life as side table in my reading nook.

Phew! That was a lot! And there is even more to come next month!
