Month in Review - August
Well, here we are in September, the month I can finally start putting out fall decorations, and also not feel silly wrapping up in a cozy blanket at the end of the day. August ended kind of abruptly for us with the hospitalization and passing of the hubby's step-dad, and we took extra time to just enjoy our little family, hence this late post and nothing new on the blog for almost 2 weeks. But, have no fear, I am back and ready to get back to sharing my home and my favorite things with you!
So let's get this month started by taking a look back at August, shall we?
The long wait for our Rustic Modern Bathroom reveal was finally shared, and everyday I love how it looks a little bit more!
As part of the bathroom makeover, I made some super easy towel hooks that add a ton of character, and take almost no time to make.
The boys went back to school, and to make myself feel more organized, I shared some of my favorite back to school organizing tips.
After stenciling the laundry room back in July, I put together 6 tips for wall stenciling that will make your first, or next, stenciling project a breeze!
Back to school night is the perfect time to put together a gift basket for the new teachers and let them know you appreciate all their hard work.
The boys' breakfast making messes were getting to be too much, so I found this awesome cereal dispenser to make their breakfast making easier, and keep my morning floor sweeping to a minimum!
And last, but not least, I finally decided on a paint color for our farmhouse kitchen bench, and tested out the Diva of DIY's Chalk Mix to give my bench that great chalky finish.
Happy September Everyone!!
