Simple & Beautiful Easter Decor

Spring is just around the corner, and so is Easter! This is the perfect time of year to break out some colors that you might not decorate with everyday. I don't use much pink and yellow in our home, but this time of year, with the brighter days and warmer weather, I find myself looking at those colors to brighten up our space. I decided to give this little spot in our dining room a bright spring-like touch.

I keep the Easter decorations pretty minimal, so I want what little bit I put out to be colorful and fun! I had a crazy stash of paint chips from various painting projects, so I used the brighter ones to make an Easter Egg tree.

To make the shape, I just traced around a plastic egg and then attached two cut-outs together with double-sided tape, along with a loop of green thread and hung it on this little tree I saved from the trash pile. (You can also use the same idea to make a fun little Easter Egg garland too.)

This next one is crazy simple, and gives you a good excuse to go buy your favorite Easter candy! I picked up this little carafe from the dollar section at Target, and filled it to the top with my favorite Cadbury Mini-Eggs*. (You can find a similar decanter here*.) Such an easy way to add color, and would be perfect as a non-traditional candy dish anytime of year!

To finish off the look, I added a few bright plastic eggs to a ceramic lantern, and some very spring-y flowering branches to a tall clear vase. A few simple touches was all it took to make this beautiful display, and most of the items were things I already had around the house. Holiday and seasonal decorating doesn't have to break the bank, and don't forget those after the holiday clearance sales to stock up for next year!!

Happy Spring and Happy Easter everyone!
