Busy Hands Need Marshmallows
I have had the pleasure of working from home for a couple of weeks this summer. It has been great to be home, but keeping the kids entertained while I was busy was very necessary. They have had a movie day or two, read all of their library books more than once and have even managed to get is some playtime together that did not involve wrestling or arguing. I will have to give my kids credit for this little project that kept them busy for a good solid hour. All they asked for was marshmallows and toothpicks; they didn't need or want anything else from me, other than to take some pictures of their final masterpieces.
Busy hands hard at work. They both started by just making basic shapes, and then starting connecting them all together.
And, here are the finished projects. You better believe that all of these marshmallows were eaten as soon as they were done too! I can see this being requested again, I guess that means I need to get marshmallows on the grocery list before we run out!
How do you keep your kids busy when you have something you have to get done? Have they come up with any creative projects ideas on their own?
