Saturday Catch-Up #5

Hey there friends! The holiday season is officially upon us! And I'm not at all ready for it, how about you? I won't start decorating for Christmas until the first week of December due to a much needed flooring update that we have starting soon. But, never fear! My Christmas Pinterest board is helping me with my planning and I can't wait to start decorating!

How was your Halloween? We actually had snow showers on Halloween this year (nooooo!), which made trick-or-treating a little chillier than I would have liked. The boys dressed up as a zombie vampire and a ninja. I think our years of trick-or-treating with them are slowing coming to an end, in a couple of years we will be home handing out the candy, instead of collecting it.

Halloween 2017

I ordered a new rug for the living room to hide the ugly carpet situation a little bit, I can't wait to see it with the new floors! One goal I am working on is adding a little more color, and this rug has a lot of color, but it's got that great vintage/washed out look that keeps it from being too bright. Since i had so much fun shopping, I rounded up some of my favorite large rugs that are all budget friendly at under $350.

Vintage look area rug, perfect for that colorful farmhouse look, for under $350!

Now is the time of year that I start putting together gift guides to help you (and me) with holiday shopping. Last year, I did a handful of guides by color, and I think I will add a couple more this year too. What sort of gift guides would you like to see? Ultimately I create these for you, so I would love to know what you are looking for this year, let me know in the comments what types of gift guides you would like to see.

There really hasn't been a lot going on around here lately, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Our oldest is getting braces, which means I have decided to delay getting invisalign for myself until further notice, I had my fingers crossed I would be able to get it done before the kids needed their braces, but no such luck. I have started trying to workout again on a more regular basis, since I spent the summer doing basically nothing. We got a tread-climber, and holy cow! That thing is not joke, 10 minutes in and my legs are feeling it! Hopefully I can stick with it, I'm so terrible about working out regularly.

So tell me, what have you been up to lately? Don't forget to let me know in the comments what types of gift guides you would like to see! Have a great weekend!
