Saturday Catch-Up #3
Hello there friends! What have you been up to lately? I'm annoyed with myself for already slacking on keeping up with this series regularly, but sometimes real life happens, and I don't get the time to sit down at the computer. The kids are out of school, and baseball is in full swing, so summer is officially here! (At least for them, I still have to go to work...) I feel like we haven't been up to a whole lot here lately; lots of rainy days keeping us inside early on, and when it wasn't raining, we have been at the ball park for baseball, and along with all of that I caught a cold that knocked me on my behind.
Here's what I have been up to:
This post contains affiliate links for your convenience, you can see my full disclosure here.
- The hubby and I are getting away for a beach vacation later this summer with some friends, so I have been doing a little shopping for swimsuit cover-ups, these are the ones I ended up ordering.
- Our annual city-wide garage sale was last weekend, so there has been a lot of purging and reorganizing going on around our house. It's always so much work, but it's so awesome to get rid of a lot of stuff too! We seem to accumulate a lot of "stuff" and I feel so much more organized when I get rid of the extras that are just taking up space.
- I finally got my new patio furniture for the fire pit area in the backyard! I ordered these lounge sets at Wayfair, but I also found the exact same ones at Target when I was there this week too. They are perfect for relaxing outside in the evenings, and I can't wait to make a few fun pillows to add some much needed color!
- I've apparently been on a shopping kick lately, I found some goodies at ThredUp to add to my summer wardrobe. My last order from them I stocked up on new work clothes, so now it was time to add some fun stuff too! If you haven't ever tried it, and you want to check it out, use my referral code, and we both get $10 off our orders!!
- On that note, some of the clothes that didn't sell at the garage sale I will be sending in to ThredUp using one of their clean out kits. I haven't sent anything in to them before, so I will let you know how it goes.
- There really isn't a lot on the ol' to-do list right now, other than my never-ending piles of laundry and dishes. I do have a couple of small DIY projects lined up to get done, but nothing big, so keep an eye out for those here, and I always have sneak peeks on Instagram!
Have a great weekend, and let me know what you have been up too! Any fun plans this summer?
