How To Create Your Own Holiday Art

One of the easiest ways to personalize your home, and quickly update your decor around the holidays is with art. For some people, creating beautiful art comes easily and naturally, and for others, creating art is super intimidating. If you are a member of the second group, this DIY holiday art is for you!

Here is your supply list:

Canvas (any size is fine)

Black Acrylic Paint

White Acrylic Paint

Artist Paintbrush

Step 1:

Paint your entire canvas, including the sides black.

Step 2:

Using your white paint, make a single line in the center of your canvas.

Step 3:

Using a gentle sweeping motion, add your branches. Add as few or as many as you like.

You will get different results with different sizes/types of brushes, as you can see below. The first one  I used a wider flat brush, the second one, I used a pointed brush. One gives a fuller looking tree, and the other, a more wispy looking tree. And every one you make is going to look different, that's the best part of making your own original art!
