One Mile Home Style Little Bits of Fall Home Tour 2016

Welcome to my little bits of fall home tour! Instead a full home tour with views of entire rooms, I'm doing things a little differently, and instead, showing you the details that give our home a cozy fall feeling. Let's get started, shall we? 

I really never finish decorating for a season; I'm always adding something new, or changing things up from room to room. Most of it is just my personality, I like to change things up a lot, and try things out in new spaces.

 While I try to use some of the traditional colors for the season, I always add a little more of my favorite navy blue and extra gold touches. This year I also added fresh flowers in deep shades of cranberry and purple.

 This time of year is also the perfect time for layering in more texture to make your home feel warm and cozy. More blankets and pillows, and touches of nature add details without adding overpowering color.

Fall is a time of getting simple with your home decor before the busy holiday season takes hold. Warm textures and colors encourage evenings of relaxation, and enjoying time with those you love. To me, fall decorating is the perfect time to turn your house into a cozy home you love.

 Lots of little touches of fall decor have our home feeling super cozy right now. It's not all about entire rooms perfectly decked out, it's about the little things that make your house a home.
