Inspiring Home Space 6.9.14

I have decided to start a new series here on the blog, that I hope you will enjoy. My goal with this blog is to provide you with inspiration to take a look that you see, and translate it into your space to make your home a true reflection of yourself and your family. Every Monday, I will provide you with a bit of eye candy of some beautiful spaces, and translate it into usable ideas for your space. Enjoy! 

The Inspiration:

 I love the detail in the ceiling, and the arched windows are gorgeous. Although I tend to not love a lot of white space in a room, the bright pillows and the beautiful greenery outside the windows makes the space totally inviting. I can totally see myself stretched out on that seat, windows open and magazine in hand.

Translation:

So, how do you take this inspiration and put it in your space? Keep it simple, add bright white slipcovers (they are more kid friendly than you would believe) to your current furniture, then top those seats with a variety of brightly colored pillows with bold patterns (pick one common color to appear some where on every pillow to keep the patterns from getting too crazy). Stick to two or three sizes/shapes of pillows to keep the look neat. Take down dark curtains, open your windows and let the sunshine in!
