Christmas Decor Tour

Red and Gold Christmas Decor

I am so excited open up my home and share our Christmas decor with you all today! I tend to stay pretty traditional with my Christmas decor; lots of gold and red, and just a light sprinkling of a few brighter colors mixed in.

Welcome! Come right on in!

The vignette on the piano is very traditional in theme. Red vintage thermoses, a basket of glittery ornaments both old and new, a large vase of pinecones mixed with red and brass bells all surrounded by a simple green garland..

Further into the living room is a simple shelf display with a few dashes of red and gold added to make it a little more festive.

The side table below the shelf got a little change-up as well. Sparkly red berry stems mixed in with some golden wheat make an easy and dramatic statement inside a simple white vase.

I have never had good luck with stocking hangers actually holding stockings on the mantle without falling off. So, we made a stocking hanger from a stairway baluster and a couple of wrought iron coat hooks, works like a charm!

These are my very favorite vintage ornaments, they used to belong to my grandparents. They get a spot right up front on the mantle. The mix of blue and white in the vase with the ornaments brings out the colors in the snowy scenes on the ornaments themselves.

This is one of the kids' favorite decorations, aside from the tree of course! I just took a piece of cardboard and drew out the first letter of each boy's first name. Then I let them pick out the ornaments they liked and I hot glued them to the cardboard. Now each boy has a fun Christmas decoration on their bedroom door.

The new addition to our family this year, Clark, has taken a liking to my basket full of gold ornaments.

The china cabinet in the dining room gets the biggest dose of bright color this year. My grandmother's ceramic Christmas tree with it's brightly colored lights sits alongside a trio of jars full of silver and gold tinsel and a lidded jar full of brightly colored vintage ornaments. Such a cheery touch for the dining room!

Last, but certainly not least, our beautiful Christmas Tree! No theme tree here, just a tree full of ornaments that have special meaning to each of us.

  1. Hi Stephanie, OMG what a surprise to see a ceramic Christmas tree! I have one too just like it, my mom made it for me when she was into ceramics in the 90's. Ours sits in our dining room too.
    Happy Holidays!
