It Can't Be All Work and No Play

Fire in the Fire Pit

Working 40 hours a week outside of our home means that I try to get projects done over the weekend. It also means that I am trying to get caught back up on laundry and tidying up the house in preparation for the upcoming week. The weekends are also our time to squeeze in quality family time.

This weekend was busy with family and friends. Saturday morning was spent helping some very good friends with a big reno project on their future cafe. The hubby and I got to spend some kid-free time with friends tailgating and attending a football game, and the kids spent the afternoon with grandma and grandpa. Sunday we enjoyed some amazing Fall Kansas weather! I worked on a couple of small spray painting projects while the boys watered plants and played outside. Then we were off to grandma and grandpa's for a weenie roast and smores.

It was so nice to be able to spend our weekend outside enjoying the weather together, since before long we will be trapped inside when the cold weather arrives. Projects can always wait until another day, but hanging out with these guys can't be put off.
