Cardboard City
- A large cardboard box
- Markers
- A ruler or yardstick
- Imagination
Before you let the kids run wild with this one, there are just a couple of things you need to do to get the fun started. Take your large cardboard box and flatten it out on the floor. Next, take your ruler and a black marker and draw out some streets for your city. Be sure to leave plenty of room for buildings and houses to be added!
Now, let the fun begin! Give your kiddos the markers and free reign to create their city! The boys like to add on to their city each time they play. So far, there are 2 houses, 2 police stations, a gas station and a park. This also works great for Lego cars and houses, let your little builder add their creations along the streets for another way to play.
When they are done playing, we just fold the box in half and stick it in a closet until they are ready to play with it again. Do you have any ideas for fun things to do with an empty cardboard box?
This is brilliant! My youngest is only 1, but I can't wait until he's old enough to do this with his big brother. :) Thanks for linking up to Give Me the Goods!

Thanks for stopping by! It is true that you can give kids all the toys in the world and they are most happy with an empty cardboard box.
