If you have followed me for any length of time, you know that I am not a huge fan of white walls, but, white cabinets are another thing. This kitchen is simple and beautiful. I love the look of the white cabinetry with all the natural wood tones. It gives the space a welcoming and slightly farmhouse feel. There are no flashy appliances or light fixtures, and the space is not outlandishly huge. It is plenty big enough to cook comfortably and entertain a few guests (or kids) at the same time.
If you are looking to update your kitchen, and have money in the budget to update the cabinets, I would consider refacing them, and adding in a few with glass fronts. If you are looking for a quick, and less expensive option, give all the cabinets a fresh coat of white (or ever so slightly off white) paint. New hardware can also go a long way to really give your kitchen a new look, for not a lot of money.
My favorite feature is also a super easy one to complete. If you have an island, or a peninsula in your kitchen, add beadboard to the back and side(s). It provides a lot of character, without a lot of effort or expense.
What do you think? Can you see updating your kitchen with white cabinets?
