A Pink and Simple Farmhouse Christmas Home Tour

Welcome to my Pink and Simple Farmhouse Christmas Home Tour! Every year I try to pick a color or two as my "theme" and this year I wanted to pick something a little non-traditional, so I went with shades of pink. And I must say, I am really loving pink for Christmas! I kept everything else really simple, mostly because we are still getting settled and reorganizing the house from having the flooring replaced.

So grab a hot drink and a cozy blanket, and turn on your favorite Christmas tunes or movie, and get ready for picture overload on this Pink and Simple Farmhouse Christmas Home Tour! We'll start here in the living room, where you can get your first peek at the tree (and those new floors!), and really see that we did keep the decor really simple, but the bold colors make a big impact.

A simple metal basket filled to the top with my cherished collection of vintage shiny brite ornaments top an end table for a simple, and fun, statement.

I will be the first to admit that I love all the little bottle brush trees, but I have never been one to rush out a buy them all up. I passed up these little guys from the dollar spot twice before I decided I had the perfect spot for them. Don't they look great lined up in front of this little chalkboard?

The vintage printer's tray filled with mini flocked Christmas trees was a happy accident. I picked up a couple of packages of these trees after Christmas last year with the hopes of making cute little snow globe ornaments this year. Well...I never got around to making the ornaments, and the printer's tray was looking a little bare, and those little trees fit perfectly! Bonus: They can hang out for awhile as perfect winter decor after the first of the year!

We decided to put the tree in the dining room again this year. This little corner is the perfect spot, and you can enjoy it from kitchen, living room and dining room. Unfortunately this is the last year for this particular tree; the first night I put it up, the cats decided to leap out of the middle of the tree and chase each other, and bent the branches beyond repair. But, it still looks pretty all decked out with our family's collection of ornaments from over the years.

Our trusty DIY stocking holder is still going strong, and I love it as an alternative to hanging the stockings on the mantle.

First of all yes, that is a fantastic poo emoji you see smiling at you from the middle of the tree. The kids get to decorate the tree with their ornaments, and then I fill in with the ball ornaments and other pretties. This year I filled the inside branches with buffalo snow to give a little bit of a flocked look that gives the tree a beautiful glow, and it helps hide my repair job on the bent branches too! (Just keeping it real around here for you!)

The dining room is decked out with bright blooms and ornaments in pink and gold, and just add that perfect fun accent for the holidays. I also brought in my black and white winter tree painting to add to my small gallery wall of paintings in this space.

Keeping the table simple with my trusty gold deer, and the milk and cookies for Santa plate and mug. We host a big informal family Christmas Eve gathering, so keeping the table uncluttered and open for a spread of yummy holiday treats is a must!
