Saturday Catch-Up #4
Oh man! It's been way too long!! I apparently didn't do any Saturday Catch-Ups with you at all in July, and now it's nearly the end of August! Let's see if I can get you all caught up here, and not go so long again without chatting! I do miss these little chances to just sit down and let you know what's been going on in our world. Grab a cold drink and let's catch-up!
- Since the last time I did a Saturday Catch-Up, everyone in the family has celebrated their birthdays (June-August are busy for us!). The boys had a combined party with a few friends at the local arcade, which was so much fun! The adults even joined in for a kids vs. parents round of laser tag, which is quite the workout!!
- At the end of July the hubby and I took off for a week-long trip to the Dominican Republic. It was a much needed getaway, and I can't wait to do it again!
- The boys went back to school about a week ago, 6th grade and 4th grade this year! It's really no joke when they say that time flies. It's also no joke that I am about to be the shortest person in the family before too long, I don't know what I am going to do when the boys are finally bigger than I am! The plus side is, they now wear the same size shoes as me, so now I can steal their sneakers! (They don't find it nearly as entertaining as I do!)
- Were you able to get a good view of the eclipse where you live? We were in the path of 99% totality, but the sky was completely overcast and we couldn't see a thing, such a bummer! The boys went on a school trip that day to be in 100% totality, and had a blast!
- I celebrated my birthday this week, my boys all sent me flowers to work, and we had a date night last night, nice and low-key.

- You may have noticed on my Facebook page and on the Shop page here on the blog that I have started designing t-shirts. It's something that I always thought would be fun, and the design process is teaching me some new skills and giving me a new creative outlet. I'm working on some fall and designs right now, you can see a few of them below, a little something for everyone, and they all come in multiple colors too.
- Football season is coming up quick and we are ready for some tailgating! Our Jayhawks have had a rough few years on the field, so fingers-crossed that this year will be better! Our tickets just came in the mail today, so we are ready!
Whew! I think that gets us all caught up! As always, Instagram and Facebook are the best ways to keep up with me behind the scenes. Take care, have a great weekend!!
