Easy No-Sew Plaid ChristmasTree Skirt

I don't know about you, but the holiday season always brings out my need to be creative. But, I also have a kind of short attention span, so I also need things that don't take a long time to make either. This tree skirt is a perfect quick project, that requires no sewing, is way less expensive than buying a new tree skirt, and adds that perfect farmhouse touch to your holiday decor. (See my Cozy Christmas Home Tour here.)

All you need is a 45" by 45" square of plaid flannel (you can definitely tweak this larger or smaller to fit your tree and your space). The first thing you will want to do is fray the edges a little bit, to give it a softer edge (and hide any unevenly cut edges!). This also adds that cozy, well-loved farmhouse touch that is perfect around the holidays!

Then you will want to fold your square in half twice. Once it's folded, using sharp sewing scissors (affiliate link) cut off the folded corner. This allows you to place the tree skirt right over the top of your tree stand, and keeps it perfectly in place.

The only thing left to do is finish decorating the tree, and start adding your gifts underneath! Now you have the perfect tree skirt to add that cozy farmhouse touch to you home for the holidays. And, you didn't spent a ton of money or time!
