Month in Review - June

Wow! Where has the year gone? June and July tend to be very busy months around our home with an abundance of birthdays and baseball all going on at the same time. So, I while I didn't post a lot, we did get some summer items completed in June.

We made our backyard hill into a useful garden by DIYing a couple of raised garden boxes that are built right into the hillside. Thanks to all the rain we have been lucky to have, we have already dug up a tub full of potatoes, and those tiny little tomato plants you see below are now more than filling out the cages we put around them. Now, we are just patiently waiting for the tomatoes to appear!!

I joined with a few other fabulous bloggers for a Summer Home Tour this year, and it was so much fun giving you all a little tour of our home. I can't wait to do this again soon!

Since we were all busy looking at those fun home tours, I thought it might be helpful to share 10 tips for making a big impact with a small porch, so that you can add a fun summer touch to your outdoor spaces as well. No need for a ton of room, little decor updates outside can go a long way!

And, I didn't realize it at the time, but apparently I had a little bit of a summery blue theme going on with the Monday Eye Candy room inspirations this month! I am so envious of those porch swings! Which room was your favorite?
