Present

In place of a resolution this year, I have chosen to try to focus more on a single word this year. The word is "Present". I am going to focus more on being present with my kids and husband this year, and less distracted by my phone/TV/computer.

Along this theme as well, I am going to be more present with this blog. I want to give you all my best work and show you what I am working on as I am working on it. This means I may not post as regularly as I was (which sounds counter-productive, I know), but I want to put out more well thought out and better produced posts. I am no longer going to be distracted by the fact that I feel like I have to stick to a schedule. I want to be more present in enjoying my home, and creating things and decorating, and sharing all that with you. In order for me to do that I need to not worry about coming up with a project just to have something to post, and I need to not worry about sticking to a strict schedule. I want the projects to come to me naturally, and as they do, I will share them with you.

I promise to check in at least once a week (most likely a couple of times), and share with you how I am making our house a home. Thanks for reading and I can't wait to share everything I am working on in our home in this upcoming year.
