Monday Pinspirations

Happy New Year! Did you make a long list of goals and resolutions for 2014? Looking at the weather forecast for our area today and tomorrow, my resolution is to stay warm. I actually had to venture out and go to work, if only work got snow days when schools did to.

Since organizing is always at the top of the list for things to do in the new year, here are some pins that inspire me to get/stay organized.

Repurposing old shutters are a great way to add organization to your space, they can also be a colorful focal point on an otherwise blank wall. (You can see how I use shutters in our home here.)

Having a central location to corral all the paper that comes into your home keeps it from turning into random piles all over the countertops and tables. The key to making this one work is putting your command center in a location that you walk past often, and customizing it to fit your family's needs. See how took the inspiration picture below and turned it into the perfect command center for our family here.

In my dreams this is what I would do to my closet, not only would it be much more nicely organized, it would also be pretty to look at. Maybe one of these days we will tackle this overhaul.

This organizing task is on my to-do list right now. My recent obsession with scarves (thank you very much, cold office and cold weather) has created a small issue with storage of said scarves. Right now they are overflowing out of a small storage bin on my bedroom floor. Stay turned to see how this turns out.
