Super Easy Boot Socks

No sew boot socks

I am totally stepping out of my realm here with a fashion centered post. But, it is DIY so let's make the stretch that it totally fits in around here. I don't consider myself to be super trendy, occasionally I will put together a pretty awesome outfit that has more to it than just jeans and a tee, but it's not an everyday thing.

Fall has really made me want to try out some of the trends that are everywhere. I love layers! Leggings, oversized tops, boots, skinny jeans and scarves. Here is a super easy (and super inexpensive!) how-to for one of this fall's wardrobe staples.

Here is the super inexpensive part: head to your local thrift store and pick up a nice heavy sweater, preferably one with texture to it. I found mine in the men's section for $2.00.

Ready to make your boot socks, or maybe they are leg warmers since they cover you legs and not your feet? Anyhoo here is the super easy part, grab a pair of scissors and cut off the sleeves. I cut mine right around the elbow part of the sleeve, error on the side of cutting them a little too long, you can always shorten them up. And, you are done!

Slip those bad boys on, put on your favorite fall boots and you are good to go! Wasn't that quick and easy?

So, are you running out to the thrift store now to make these for yourself?

  7. Stephanie,
I absolutely live those brown boots. I have searched 6pm.com line crazy and cannot find them. Do you possibly know the brand and style number? Again, love the idea and thank you so much.
